Kirche Maria vom guten Rat

The Böckstein church has been placed into the landscape with a great deal of taste and empathy. Although it is only a small country church, the splendid fresco paintings in the interior as well as beautiful fittings are a surprise for the visitor.The ceiling fresco which describes the history of origin of the picture with miraculous powers "Maria vom guten Rat von Genazzano", is from Johann Weiß from Augsburg.The Böckstein church ist a famous place of pilgrimage, which is visited by a lot of believers every year.It is definetely one of the most beautiful historical monuments of Gastein and is prowdly considered a baroque jewel.
